a baby shouldn’t be subjected to their mother’s death, a kidnapping, a bloody sacrifice, ghostly vengeful ancestors, multiple murders, a risen grandfather, a psychotic grandmother, their mother’s resurrection and transition and a faked death all in her first day of life. No, the writers made the right decision in sending her away – and not only did that gesture protect her but it mended the tear in Rebekah and Klaus’s relationship (gah, what a beautiful moment between Claire Holt and Joseph Morgan. Cue even bigger sobs than before).
